The situational approach includes the management process. He recognizes that the management process is the same, but the specific methods that a manager must use to effectively achieve the organization’s goals can vary considerably. The situational approach tries to link specific methods and concepts with certain specific situations so that the goal of the organization can be achieved more effectively.
The situational approach does not declare previous approaches and schools to be false. It is closely linked to the systems approach. Both approaches are not a simple set of recommendations for the leader. The situational approach includes the management process. According to him, the management process is the same, but the specific methods that the manager must use to effectively achieve the goals of the organization can vary considerably.

Four steps in situational management approach
The methodology of the situational approach contains four steps:
First step – The manager must know the tools and methods of professional management that have proven their effectiveness, such as – the management process, individual and group behavior, systems analysis, methods of planning and control, and quantitative methods of decision making;
Second step – each method, each methodology, each concept has its strengths and weaknesses, which are used in a particular situation. The manager must be able to anticipate the likely consequences – positive and negative, in their application;
Third step – The manager must have the ability to correctly interpret the situation. He must be aware of both the symptoms and the factors that caused the situation;
Fourth step – The manager must apply those methods, methodologies, and concepts that are characterized by the least negative effect in the specific situation because they ensure the achievement of the goals of the organization in the most effective way in specific circumstances.
